A Message to our Members of Parliament

To help you get started we've included a few jumping off points:

• Porter's growth plans will create 2,000 new middle class jobs and have an annual economic impact of $250 million in the City of Toronto.
• Porter's entrance into new markets has consistently resulted in lower travel costs. Porter's growth plans will make travel more affordable across Canada and to the United States.
• Porter's plans would see the introduction of the made-in-Canada Bombardier CS100 and would support our country's aerospace industry. 
• A robust official review is currently underway at the request of Toronto City Council. All three parties to the tripartite agreement, (Transport Canada, City of Toronto and PortsToronto) are all participating. The results will be available in coming months and provide everyone involved with complete information in order to make informed decisions.
• If after the full review is complete, and City Council determines that it would like to proceed with the proposal, we believe that the federal government should consider the wishes of the people of Toronto when reviewing the proposal.
